Chattanooga- (WDEF-TV) Senior GPS Kennedy Ball was one of Chattanooga’s finest football players.
It’s easy to see how his skills earned him a scholarship to Arkansas.
When your last name is Ball, you’re destined to be a sports star, aren’t you?
Her teammate Kayden Wise: “We always make jokes with her whenever we sign for games and stuff. We will always make a joke of it one way or another. It’s just ironic how good she is with all types of sports balls, and her last name is Ball.
The ball was so good that she started for the Bruisers in 8th grade.
Says Wise: “She’s unlike any other football player I’ve ever seen. She’s incredibly fast, but has skills like no other.
Head Coach Patrick Winecoff said, “There aren’t many girls like her who have her length and strength and speed.”
It’s funny that Ball plays for GPS because she’s a GPS specialist in the field.
Says Ball: “I kind of like to map out the field where I can go. Where there’s space or an open player.
Said Wise: “What amazes me the most is how many people she is able to dribble. She goes through them in a different way than I’ve ever seen. She still moves fast, but she has such eloquence when she dribble.
Said Ball: “I remember I was like facing backwards towards the defender. Kind of just patted between his legs. One of my teammates ran over it. I just like. I don’t know how to have fun and be creative there.
Journalist: “Do you have eyes in the back of your head?”
Said Ball: “Uh no, I don’t have eyes there surprisingly. I don’t know.”
It looks like the opposing coaches are looking forward to Ball’s departure.
Says Winecoff: “I’ve probably had four or five coaches this year, like did she graduate or Kenny graduate, right? It doesn’t look like. One more year my friend.
